As per section 5.2 and 5.3 of the Marra Worra Worra Rule Book, ten Directors represent the five language groups of the Fitzroy River Valley. There is provision for 12 Directors, 2 of who can be Non-member directors selected for their independence or skills in financial management, corporate governance, accounting, law or a field relating to the corporation’s activities, or both.
The Board of Directors is focused on carrying out the legacy of the organisation which started as a ‘strong voice’ to represent Fitzroy Valley and their members.
Clinton holds a degree in Laws and Arts from Murdoch University. He is concurrently the chair of iContracting, executive chair of Spartan First, managing director of National Indigenous Times and non-executive director of Madalah Ltd an organisation that provides scholarships to Indigenous students.
Clinton has previously held a number of board positions including former chair of Indigenous Construction Resource Group, director of Azure Capital, and chair of the Western Australian Aboriginal Lands Trust, executive director of the Yamatji Land and Sea Council native title representative body and has served as Chief Executive Officer for several organisations including the Western Desert Land Aboriginal Corporation.
Our team reflects the diversity of the region, and over half identify as Aboriginal, and almost half identify as female. More than half our Team Leader roles are filled by Aboriginal staff.
