AS per section 5.2 and 5.3 of the Marra Worra Worra Rule Book our ten Directors represent the five language groups of the Fitzroy River Valley. The Board of Directors is focused on carrying out the legacy of the organisation which started as a ‘strong voice’ to represent Fitzroy Valley and their members.
On the back of the governance training that the Board has received, and in the interests of best practice corporate governance, the Board has embraced a wide-ranging Terms of Reference document.
The terms of reference outline the role of the Board, which is to lead and govern the Corporation, with the aim of ensuring that Marra Worra Worra successfully meets its objectives as outlined in the Consolidated Rule Book. It also guarantees that the proper governance and management structures are in place to safeguard and ensure that the future of the Corporation is sound and the interests of the members as a whole are protected.
Marra Worra Worra staff and board members are united by the organisation’s 6 core objectives.
