Mindi Rardi gets its name from the Bunuba name for the ridge where it is settled near the town of Fitzroy Crossing and the Kurnangki community.
It used to be the old town reserve in Fitzroy Crossing. Like Kurnangki many of the people that now live there are from the desert language groups displaced due to governmental policies and lack of support in the late 60s early 70s.
Our communities are alive and full of stories about how they came to be and why that place in country is important for health and culture.
